About Maxine and Beverly
Maxine and Beverly are the owners of Speakable Gifts. When Maxine founded this enterprise some years ago, her daughter Beverly was a teenager and was a great help to her mom in getting the business going. During the early years, when Speakable Gifts was a gift basket business, Beverly often assisted with the design and construction of the baskets and then when the business evolved into inspirational publications, she often helped with various aspects of that also, especially as she sometimes jokingly referred to herself as “business manager.” Now, after starting her own home by getting married and having children of her own, she has returned in earnest as a partner. You will often hear from her on this blog.
Maxine, a/k/a Nanna, is a wife, mother and grandmother. Other than spending time with her family (especially the granddaughters!), she finds her greatest enjoyment in writing for young people. She also loves teaching Sunday school, feeding and observing birds, reading Elizabeth Prentiss and J.C. Ryle, and old movies. She is the administrator and a contributor to this blog, which along with Speakable Gifts, exists with a desire to help bring edification, comfort, and encouragement to those who visit. Nanna wishes you all the blessings of our great God and bountiful mercies in Him through our Savior, Jesus. If you would like to email Maxine, you may do so at maxine@speakablegifts.com.
Beverly is a stay at home wife and mommy of three girls. Her favorite pastimes are reading, blogging and cooking. She is executive director east for Mommy Bag Marketing, Inc., and in her spare time reviews children’s books and products. Her hope for Speakable Gifts is that it will be a useful and edifying resource for children and their parents. If you would like to email Beverly, you may do so at beverly@speakablegifts.com.
