Happy Thanksgiving!

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! He is the giver of every good and perfect gift! Speakable Gifts, and especially Nanna, would like to send the warmest of wishes for the Thanksgiving holiday. May you know the joy and peace of the Savior and reflect on His goodness. Please join us in praising Him! If you would like to see Nanna’s list of blessings, you’re invited to visit her other blog.

God Bless!

An Increase and a Decrease

Tuesday, November 14th, 2006

A quick note about a dollar increase/decrease in price on two items. Just to let you know, our Verses and Hymns for the Very Young flashcards have been increased to $7.00 when sold separately. But the good news is that the cassette has been reduced to $3.50, so that the price for the set remains the same at $8.50. Unless you’re buying wholesale, it wouldn’t make much sense to buy them separately, would it?

This is a perfect gift for a toddler or small child that would have spiritual implications for their future!

Talk to you soon.

A Teen from Morocco

Wednesday, November 8th, 2006

I finally got around to featuring a new child of courage, this time a teenager. It would be quite beneficial if you could get your teen to read Aaron’s story. I’m sure he would be an encouragement (and challenge) to some of the young people in our Christian homes. Go to the kids of courage page and click on the link to read about this young man of courage.

 Talk to you soon.

November/December Speakables

Thursday, November 2nd, 2006

If you stopped by our Speakables page and took heed to the attention sign, you should have landed here. I thought I should explain a few things.

This is an extremely busy time in our household with many family events, church events, health issues, etc. This busy housewife, bookkeeper, school teacher, writer, just has not been able to make any changes to last month’s writing activities. So anyone who may use them will find that there is nothing new, as of today. Maybe, little by little, I can get to a few of them, but we’ll have to wait and see.

I do have a favorite one, though, that I probably won’t be changing even if time allows. Take a look at the quote. It’s a great one by Spurgeon, and I sure would encourage you to have your young person look at it and think about it, especially your adolescent. It consists of just five words, but they are powerful. If your child would read our little story, that would really get them thinking!

Hope you’ll remember to pray for that young “evangelist” in Iran. Hopefully I will get a chance to feature a new Child of Courage soon. These children are remarkable.

God bless. Talk to you soon.
